First of all, the device is called Power Breathe. You inhale against resistance, and it's supposed to increase the inspiratory muscles, which it does. That said, remember, in COPD, inhaling is NOT our problem. EXHALING is our problem. This gizmo, and I have one, won't hurt you at all, and may indeed help to strengthen in inspiratory muscles, but it won't help you any unless you learn proper breathing techniques and use them regularly. Learn to purse lip breathe regularly and with or without the Power Breathe, you will do better.
