Has Anyone Had Problems With Hair Loss After Being On Inhalers For A Few Years...
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone else have any problems with hair loss after being on Inhalers ( Symbicort and Proair ) for several years? I am experiencing severe Hair loss and cannot figure out why....only thing that has changed for me is being diagnosed with COPD and put on Inhalers 3+ yrs ago...

I lost my hair due to chemo treatments, however I am now on immunotherapy for my cancer and my hair has come back but it is very very thin. Never thought that maybe the inhalers for the COPD could cause this problem. To Annie56, I too have very itchy skin.

I've suffered from hair loss for many years now, i never had the problem before i was diagnosed with lung disease. My Dr told me it's caused by stress, with i don't believe at all. My Dr puts most of my health problems down to stress, he even told me i didn't have Asthma after I'd been treated for it for over 13yrs. Now he won't prescribe my Ventolin to me, i have to pay full price and buy it over the counter at the Chemist

Ive been using inhalers for about 4 years. I started losing my hair dramatically in the last 6 months. I believe I menopause kicked in as well. Moreover, its frizzy no matter what. If i get it cut it, deep condition . Styling
Products help but not much. I'm trying.!
