Here is a partial list of things I found coconut oil can be useful for. These are just a few of the things I've been reading from people on this site having problems with. It can be used for cooking, dry skin, weight loss, it has lauric acid which is toxic to virus, fungi and bacteria. Interestingly enough, lauric acid is only found in breast milk and coconut oil. I use coconut oil on my skin and also to gargle with...1 tablespoon and swish in mouth for 20 min (hard at first so try 5 min and work up to 20 if you can) ..spit out, do not swallow, rinse and brush teeth. Helps to loosen and bring up phlegm. Use a tlbsp to cook with

Hi Merry. I was told to drink milk and eat cakes and chocolate 4 weeks ago by my aras team as i needed to put some weight on. I only had a glass a day and that was in a milkshake. I don't do milk and i only drink fruit tea's but I do like my chocolate x

@A MyCOPDTeam Member, yes, dairy products are well known for that and they do tell you not to drink milk when you have COPD. I'm trying to give it up now but it's hard for me. It's been my favorite drink my whole life. I always loved a good, cold glass of milk with my meals more than anything else.

Dairy products cause a lot of phlegm for me, have others noticed this, I have cut dairy products almost entirely lately and not bringing up much phlegm !!

I have used it in baking replace butter or oil with same amount of Coconut oil. My husband loves it in brownies.
