I was on Symbicort and an albuteral puffer (used frequently) but Dr has now changed my meds. Since early May, I have been taking Anora Elipta as well as Arnuity. They are both a powder. I take one inhalation of each in the morning. So far, I feel I am breathing better and seem to have no side effects. I also started using a Bi-Pap machine in May. Maybe it's the combination, I don't know, but I feel like a new person. Still have sortness of breath upon exertion, so I stop to take a break and then resume. I still carry the albuteral puffer, but rarely use it anymore. I have much more energy (had forgotten what that felt like, lol) and no more brain fog. I'm not on any oxygen. Hope this helps. Good luck to you.
It's a combination inhaler: a long acting beta agonist combined with an anticholinergic. If you need an inhaled corticosteroid, you'll need to get that separately. It's a maintenance medication. It's a Glaxo-Smith-Kline product. No idea if it's available in South Africa.
Yes I have had it for a few months and think it helps it's s preventative inhaler not a rescue one
have you ever heard that you put on weight with anora elipta
I am using anora and hardly ever use my regular puffers anymore. I work overnights so I take mine at 7pm.
