Get with your doctor to see what works for you. Basically there is only two types of POC on the market
Pulse and Continuous. So he should start by seeing if you can maintain a good Oxygen level on Pulse.
From there they are almost all alike, some have a higher flow rate and BPM rate (My supplier matched mine to my needs). They sent out a Nurse and worked with me to find one that not only met my medical needs but Life style (battery Life) and comfort Needs (weight of unit). I went from carrying a 18 lbs. Tank to a 4 lbs. POC. Getting used to pulse was easy for me (I guess some people have trouble with it). Loosing the time restraint and weight is well worth a POC!!!! Good luck finding your match and don't stress it!!!!!

Veronica,

The best portable oxygen concentrator is the one that is going to meet or exceed your oxygen requirements. With that being said there may be a few concentrators that fit your needs. Here is a list of some of the most popular and reliable portable concentrators:

Inogen One G2 (7 pounds, pulse flow settings 1-6)
Inogen One G3 (4.8 pounds, pulse flow settings 1-4)
LifeChoice Activox 4L (4.8 pounds, pulse flow settings 1-4)
Respironics SimplyGo Mini (5 pounds, pulse flow settings 1-5)
Respironics SimplyGo (10 pounds, pulse flow settings 1-6; continuous flow settings 0.5-2.0LPM)
SeQual eQuinox (14 pounds, pulse flow settings 1-9; continuous flow settings 0.5-3.0 LPM)
SeQual Eclipse 5 (18.4 pounds, pulse flow settings 1-9; continuous flow settings 0.5-3.0 LPM)

I had an Inogen also and it worked great, but needed more oxygen so now I have the Sequal Eclipse which will go to a 3 continuous flow and up to 6 on a pulse dose. Allows me to get out and around and am thankful for that.

I use Inogen. 24/7. Haven't had any problems. Plugs into wall or if you have to go unplug it and you're good to go. Each battery lasts about 4 hours. It comes with two batteries. Now the higher the number you have to use the less time your battery will last. I use it on 2.and it lasts 4 to 4 1/2 hours. I also bought a 9 hour battery for long trips. Medicare doesn't cover that but it does cover the Inogen and two 4 hour batteries along with your supplement. With Medicare paying, I also received one of the big concentrators, but it's still in the box in the basement. Never been used. Hope this helps.
