I want to thank all who responded to my question on inhaler useage. The information received gives me some insight as to what I should discuss with my Dr.
It depends on how often you use it. Most are prescribed to be used up to four times a day, and most have 200 actuations, more or less. That's why they say two months, but if you use it less than that, it'll last for much longer; if you use it more, it'll last much less.
I take my Combivent Respimat every 4 to 6 hrs as doctor instructed. I also take Dulera and Tudorza Pressair each one is done twice a day. I also take the tablet Daliresp every morning. My Dulera and Tudorza last me two months. If yours are not lasting that long then you need to let the doctor now as you may need to change to something that will work better for you.
I use mine often and lasts me 30 days
It depends on the individual. A rescue inhaler is usually used by folks with asthma. Frequent use indicates the asthma is not well controlled and your doctor needs to be aware so he can find a better inhaler/med for your asthma. I have moderate asthma along with a severe sulfite allergy which triggers my asthma attacks. The majority of inhalers for COPD/asthma contain sulfites so I am limited as to what I can take. As a result my rescue inhaler is part of my daily med regimen, which both my primary care doc and my pulmonologist are aware. So it depends on the circumstances of an individual.
