Kay I use a dehumidifer in th summer to keep the humidity down and it colears up my nose...no pads at all and in the winter I use a humidifer and use a small amount of conditioner that you buy for it and I keep my humidity at 45 to 50 and I it keeps my nose clear but if I am sleeping and my dehumidifer stops because it is full....I will wake up with my nose stopped up.....hope this helps Kay....hugs and God Bless
