Why do some people with COPD have a lot of mucus and some don't.

i use to do my nebulizer regular back in 2010 but it got to where i coughed and coughed bringing up mucous band it wouldnt stop untill my lungs were clean i would tilt my head down like i was picking something up off the floor mabey lower and the mucous would come right up i would be crying cause i was wore out when it finally stopped i dont use my nebulizer much these days because of thar i use my inhalers

If you have a large, uncontrolled chronic bronchitis aspect or have uncontrolled bronchiectasis you will have more mucous than people who don't.

when l do have mucus l drink a lot of water Dr. told me it will help l wonder if it does l know on musinex box it does say take with glass of water "wonder if it does help loosen it up"

I seem to have alot of mucus i use ventolin spirva capsul & symbicort

Nebulizer make yours worse? I use mine 4 x day. Plus symbicort 2 puffs 2 x day.
