Why Is It Easier To Breath On Some Days But Not Others?

I've noticed that some days are better than others. Is it weather-related? Is sinus congestion (like from seasonal allergy) a factor? Some days go better when I take a Benadryl to start off the day and again at night. I've also noticed having episodes of shortness of breath a few hours after eating foods that are probably high-sodium: pizza, Italian beef, frozen dinners, deli lunchmeat, packaged hot dogs, etc. Is there any relationship between the two? Food has never been a problem for me. My blggest problem is what position I wake up in. If Ihave slipped down the bed during sleep my whole day can be a nightmare.

Eating too much is hardly ever a problem for me. Either I get tired of chewing or the food gets cold before I'm full. It's been hard for me to maintain the 80 pounds I'm carrying.

Some times eating too much adds to the breathing problem.

Unfortunately, it's all of the above, if your Insurance allows try to do Pulmonary rehab it can educate and help avoid things that make it harder on us with COPD. Also continue with MyCOPDTeam we're to help each other.

I have been in Mississippi for 3 months and the humidity is very high I could barely breath some days until I went right down by the water and eating heavy foods
