I've heard people talking about using nose pillows at night. I have no idea what they are, how they are used and if they are OTC or by prescription only.
Nasal pillows are used with a C-pap machine, which is prescribed for people who have sleep apnea. Getting used to the mask is one of the most difficult things about using a C-pap, and nasal pillows are very helpful.
Yes indeed the nose pillows are wonderful little pillows, I Love mine, I hate the mask of any kind
I just can't handle those mask at all, they make my breathing worse ,It really is the confinement
That bothers me,those little pillows are great try them I'm sure you will like them,Just tell your doctor to call
Your place were you get your C/pap machine from to order them good luck
I use the nose pillow after fighting several full masks for months. It simply fits over your nostrils and, for me, much easier to seal. I have a beard so I struggled with the masks and the pillow is much easier. My oxygen tubing plugs into my CPAP machine, so I am able to have my oxygen whenever I'm on the machine.
@A MyCOPDTeam Member Thank you for your response. I used a Bi-pap machine but it became too cumbersome to sleep with. Sounds like this could be the solution. I'll talk to my doctor about it on my next visit.
Sleep well, BillK
