Is there a generic for Anoro Ellipta, or a cheaper alternative? I hit the "Donut Hole" in my first year of Medicare.I have never heard of it before, although I have had health insurance, on & off for 50 years. It's the opposite of health insurance, in that you usually hit out of pocket maximun. This med helped me quickly to the Donut Hor as $300 cost, and I can't afford it while im in this "hole"
I get my anora in Canada. 104.00 dollars. A lot cheaper my dr faxed them a script.
Have you checked AllDayChemists? I get a lot of my very expensive meds from them.
I found a company on the internet GSK patient assistance program. They are based on ur income and u have to have spend 600.00 out of pocket before they will help.
There isn't a generic for Anoro Ellipta, which is a combination of a long acting bronchodilator (LABA) and a long acting anticholinergic (LAMA). There are no generic combinations, but you could take the two meds separately. There are LABAs and you can order Tiova from India (ADC), which is a generic form of Spiriva. Unfortunately, taking them separately isn't as effecting as taking the combination.
Talk with your doc. Usually there are programs to help people who have financial issues, and the docs know how to help.
I have United HealthCare AARP Medicare Complete, which offers a prescription service called OptumRx. You usually have to order 3 months at a time. For 3 months, it is $141 as of today. Prices may fluctuate somewhat but that comes out to $47/month.
