Sleep test showed I should use O2 at night, didn't at first, repeated sleep test about a year later, Same result. That time I decided to try O2, has made a big difference, I don't wake up as often during night, feel much better, well rested in the morning. Go for it if your MD thinks you can use it.
Oxygen at night made a big difference... your oxygen drops at night and the supplemental oxygen helps a lot!
@A MyCOPDTeam Member, I had a sleep study about 6 years ago, doc thought I had sleep apnea, but, found out my oxygen dropped to low while sleeping. That is when I went on oxygen. Sure has made a difference in my life. Didn’t like it at all at first, but, it enables me to lead a somewhat normal life. I have smaller tanks I use when out and about.
I had sleep study about same time as DX. CPAP has really helped, especially regarding grumpiness .
I've had three of them. Until I lost weight, I did have sleep apnea, and used a C-pap that helped a lot. Once I lost weight, I had another sleep study and didn't have the apnea any more. The last sleep study I had was a year ago, and it just showed that I need O2 at night.
