Maggie my name is Sharona. I know exactly how you feel just by reading what you wrote to me because at one time I felt the same way as you do. I was diagnosed in 2012 I did not give a shit I did not care if I smoked I do not care if I took pills I did not care about anything all I wanted to do was die because my lungs are really bad and they still are bad but they're better than what they were because I quit smoking and I think because I do the exercises if you want and you're not trying to give up you can make things better for yourself there was a time I couldnt even give myself a bath but I can now. Just exercising and quitting smoking and being in this group baby doll has been the best thing I've ever done you learn so much and you got people in the same boat as you and feel the same way that you do and it helps so much please just try it for a little while and if it doesn't work i dont know you can spank my butt. I was in terrible shape probably just around 6 months ago I believe I was to the point that I didn't care if I lived or died I took a handful of pills praying that I would not wake up the next day but I did so there's a reason for me to be here and there's a reason for you to be here.I used to be a nurse and I work with a lot of people and honey if you give up on life really give up on life it can happen so it'll be serious if you feel this way I don't think that you want that to happen I think you want to feel better like I did I couldn't stand that I couldn't do stuff for myself I was so used to doing everything by myself. I know the doctors say that there is no cure for COPD and there probably is no cure a long-term care but I believe that there's a short-term. where you can at least enjoy your life before you do die Please I am begging you please keep in touch with me okay I love you and I care about you and I have only known you for probably 5 minutes but I can tell you have a beautiful heart and as I said God has a reason for you to be here there's things that you can do honey like exercising start out with just a little exercise I do exercise sitting on my bed playing harmonica that's great I'd have to talk to you about it but just moving around and doing stuff like that will help a bunch my lungs the second time I had X-rays are a lot better than the first . There are so many people in this group is caring and loving that will pick you up and take care of you like you never even taken care of they will talk to you they will help you they will discuss things with you when you need someone to talk to you then love you their ears and they'll listen to you they know what it's all about cuz I do but I don't I just talk and feel from my heart.please give us a chance. God bless your lungs. Keep in touch im worried. I care.

I'm in Ontario Canada. My drugs are free ( I pay only the filing fee) because they classify me as disabled. My oxygen levels are around 93% and drop if I become active.. Each medication I get costs me 4.10 so a 3-month supply of Spriva Restimat is only 12.30. I am fortunate to live here. I have 4 different meds

I live in Ontario Canada and meds for seniors are basically free...you pay $100 deductible yearly and then a $4.11drugstore dispensary fee for each med. Am on 9 meds for COPD and other things, so it runs me approximately $40/month

In Alberta as a senior I pay $25.00 for a 3 month supply of each medication I have to take. I have 5 different meds but no oxygen as yet so my cost is 125.00 for 3 month supply for all of them. Costs more per month.
