Nodules in the lungs are very common and we get them for a whole bunch of reasons. Most of the time they're benign and the standard thing when they're found is to get another scan in three months or so and see if they've grown. If they have, then you probably will have to have something done to test them, usually a biopsy. Most of the time they haven't or they've shrunk and or disappeared. It's hard not to be concerned, but don't let it get to you.
Thank you Jean, your reply has really helped me. I am trying my best to just get on with my life and stop worrying about what might or might not be. I am thankful for each day I awake and glad to be a part of this team. It has helped me deal with this illness. I am learning to deal with my limitations but my family just doesn't quite understand...Breathe easy dear friend.
Thank you so much Jean. I will check that site out asap. I really appreciate your help.
Vada, I would really suggest that you go to www.copdfounation.org and look at all t material under the Learn More tab. There's a lot of really good information that you can share with you family. One thing I would ally recommend for all of them is to look at the video series COPD 101. That will explain the disease really well to everyone, including you. It's important that your family understand so they can help you rather than make your life more difficult.
As far as I know I do not have nodules present in my lungs.
