Not necessarily water retension but gain of weight yes. It makes you hungrey.

You hear pro and con about it. My dr has been con. All he said has proved true. Probably different for different people

@A MyCOPDTeam Member Yes - Yes - Yes it is. Prednisone causes you to retain sodium (salt). Can result in fluid retention, weight gain, and bloating.
