I have heard that inhaers can dry out and cause fiberous parchment type damage to the lung lining.
Has any body expierenced this or know if this is true..?
for this reason i try not to use inhalerrs...
I don't believe that if you use your inhalers as directed and prescribed they will do any damage. If you let them sit and don't use them for long periods of time, the material may have changed substantially, so you could run risks by using inhalers that are out of date or old. Most of the inhalers on the market now are meds that have been around for some time; they're just in different combinations, so there aren't any that are absolutely brand new. If what you suggest actually happens, you can be sure that there would be a lot of publicity and people would be broadcasting from the housetops. I don't think it's an issue, or if it is, it happens so seldom that it's essentially a non-event.
Don't quit using your inhalers, they are about the only thing that is going to help you, do you use an aero chamber, a necessity and always rinse and gargle after using them. My father was 94 when he passed away, and he used inhalers most of his life...
I hope you are feeling easier within...I too listen to my body... I have cut back on the use of inhalers..i dont think my copd is any worse than it would have been. I excercise more and gain great benefit in doing so..
some times it is a thin line...good luck an god bless you..
I was using 2 inhalers a day plus my nebulizer treatment and rescue inhaler, I started all of this medication in November 2015, In August 2016, I was in terrible pain in my upper back, I had my right lung lining removed and the lining of my chest cavity removed, it was a long recovery, when I was in rehab they gave me one inhaler a day, and also one nebulizer treatment, my pulmonary doctor tells me that it would not be a good idea to cut down but I listen to my body if I feel good I don't do all of them, I just do once a day. God bless you
Maybe you are Correct.. I do hope so...
