i was given samples of daliresp and it does seem to be helping me breath better with my copd. it is really expensive so i am wondering if it is worth the money.
I took it for 4+ yes worked great, then started have side effects. Dr took me off of it but hope to go back in a few month. I have some left over wish there was a way to get all unused meds to people that need them.
Been on daliresp for about 3 weeks and I can honestly say I feel the difference. Been on prednisone for almost a year but since I'm dalires p I've been able to go 11 days without and that's really good cause I couldn't breathe without😀
Almost 2 years ago I had two respiratory failure episodes and was hospitalized. Had congestive heart failure with the first episode and had to have another stent. Two months later I had another coughing attack and back to the hospital I went to spend 3 days in ICU. After these two exacerbations my pulmonary doc gave me Daliresp. I haven't had any serious issues since. If I make it to May it will have been 2 years since I have been in the hospital. It is a VERY expensive drug, though. I'm lucky that my insurance will cover it because there is no way I could afford it without it.
My pul. doctor put me on BREO and DALIRESP and I took them faithfully each morning for two years. About 90% of the time I felt good. Both are too expensive for the VA so now on STIOLTO. If you have a supliment insurance, the cost isn't too high until you hit the donut hole. Then WOW.
If the Daliresp is working for you, it would be worth the cost to continue to take it and see if it has the intended result: reducing inflammation in the lungs and airways, reducing mucous production and reducing exacerbations. You can go to this website and at least get one prescription free and you might qualify for more. https://www.daliresp.com/savings-program.html If it works the way it's supposed to and does in the vast majority of people who take it, it will be well worth in in terms of better qualify of life.
