Does Anyone Have Extreme Problems With Nasal Congestion Or Blockage?
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

My left nostril gets blocked. I use Ayr and q-tips to "grease things up" and often have a "booger scab" break loose. And I do use the neil pot and have used Mucinex D. This is usually a nightly problem. Being vertical seems to help. I sleep on my back with a wedge pillow plus 2 additional pillows due to my copd.

To unstop my nose and get the mucous out, I use the smallest attachment on my massager, set on LOW, to slowly and GENTLY run down the sides of my nostrils, where the nose meets the face, from top to bottom. Works for me every time!

I have to ask you @A MyCOPDTeam Member.
WHY do you feel you need to rush or hurry about any of these things you mention? None of us should be racing up the stairs or rushing down....The person calling you can let it ring more OR leave you a message....
There are solutions for full bladders too, hon.
It's okay to slow ALL of it down! Really! Take your time. Unless there is a fire, just turn the RPM way down---- give yourself permission, ok?

I went to an ent dr, last year and he numbed by nose and ran a tube up (It didn't hurt) and could find nothing wrong with my sinuses etc. It is just an offshoot of copd that I cough so much and make so much mucous, which dries up from time to time. The saline spray helps a lot and so does flonase. The ayr, just helps the nostrils from being so dry.

No only zertec d opens it up but it dries you out so much can't take all the time, my dr gave me a tube of ayr to try to keep nose moist you can buy over counter but it doesn't open it up. I made appt with ent dr but not until end of April
I do use essential oils In difuser and drops on a cloth to carry with me and helps to open me up (peppermint rosemary and lemon).

I have a water bottle that connects to my concentrator to help keep my nose say moist. It helps some.
