Can the nebulizer be used too much or too long

The answer to the question depends somewhat on what you're nebulizing and what your prescription says. Many people have albuterol to nebulize; usually that's recommended no more than every four hours and usually not that much. Too much albuterol often results in a high heart rate and can send you into arrhythmia if you're prone to that. Anything else you might nebulize will have prescription instructions and it's wise not to do more than is prescribed. Talk with your doc about this as she might have a different take on it.
