i had an MRI recently and was also worried about lying on my back. The best they did for me was a pillow for my head, but warned me that there wasn't much room. I just had to not think about it. i sung songs to myself & it was over quite quickly thank goodness.

Don't be afraid if you didn't next time ask for a open MRI for you feel panicky. The lady who does these talk to you thru the whole thing which really helps I have vertigo so the moving of the bed makes me dizzy.Do some self talk to keep yourself calm and know you got this

Panic attacks are quite common when people become short of breath. Learn proper breathing techniques and see a good counselor to learn how to control and manage your anxiety. Exercise hard to make yourself short of breath and use the breathing techniques to recover. It's not hard to manage your anxiety and avoid panic attacks; you do have to work at it.
