This Year I Will Be Going On Medicare. Looking For A Plan To Cover COPD Meds And Inhalers.

All too confusing! Am currently using Tudorza and rescue inhaler. Inhaler costs on Medicare seem cost prohibitive. Any info would be appreciated!

My Medicare nor any supplemental would cover Symbicort--there is a Program-SimpleFill.com If you use Symbicort they will help you with an Inhaler for $45/month VS $226/Month

When I started Medicare and supplements, I added part d. I tried to dis enroll. Cant til december 31st . I was a ke to a et on prescriptionlifeline, formerly secure care benefit Network.

It goes by income, but worth a try.

On no savings a small pension and social security part d would have left no living money.

To get to catastrophic level, I'd have been nearly dead. Part d paid $20 a month for my rescue inhalers.

Symbicort and spiriva are close to $360 a month each. Thank goodness for the assistance program.

Get with a seasoned Medicare provider broker, who can give you your best options and costs. There's a lot to know, and copd limits what programs you are eligible for.

Things have leveled out, and I have had 90 day supplies mailed to my home. Such a blessing and gift. I was really worried my first 2 years.

Think of questions, scenarios and ask them. The only dumb ones are the ones that are not asked.

Hope this helps.

Breathe easy.

God bless you.

When my wife retired, I was already on disability which included me in Medicare. Her plan coordinator partnered me with Humana Gold, a supplement plan for Medicare and I could not be any more pleased with a plan. The prescription co-pays are minimal and I pay zero dollars for Dr. visits, hospital stays, etc. I promise you I don't work for the company and I am certainly not trying to sell a policy. They have just impressed me that much.

AARP United Health Care has been very good for me as my suplimental ins with Medicare. AARP can help you with this ins. I chose Plan J and have not had to pay for any thing related to hospital care. I use their prescription drug plan also.

I live in WI and have AARP Medicare Complete, United Health Care. CoPays are generally $45. for Tier 3 meds. I get many at no cost writing the manufacturer of the drug. You may want to try this also. For Anoro and Albuterol Inhalers the manufacturer is GSK Elequis is Bistol Meyer
