Be wary of stem cell, all places that charge are scams..I believe there are some ongoing trials..but trials do NOT charge any fees! The scam artists charge a LOT..check with the American Lung Association before signing up for any stem cell program! I know the Lung Institute goes by many names..and is a large SCAM.

It's not, unless you're getting a bone marrow transplant for cancer. The Chinese research is somewhat suspect because there was only one patient, and there's very little data to support any of the claims. The journal it was published in is not one of the respected journals in China (and there are some highly respected ones there), so most docs here are very skeptical of that report.

A TX works. There are no stem cell treatments for COPD that have any data supporting any of their claims. There are a couple of legitimate clinical trials going on in the US, but most have just started and won't have results for several years. Stem cell treatments for COPD are basically a way for people to get their hands on your money. Don't get taken in.

Hi Linda,
I also heard many people say that they felt well after stem cell, but that remains anecdotal. What we want is a scientific verification. If someone has emphysema and he was given stem cell, and if it has worked why not present the scientific proof to the FDA and scientific community.

I'm taking stem cell therapy, and it's a trial thing. The doctor told that they don't charge for stem cell therapy. Anywho, some nodules in my lung have shrunken. I have nothing to say bad about stem cell therapy. ☺
