I’m Stage 3 Copd on oxygen 2.5 lt. I don’t have to be doing anything strenuous or coughing hard. I will suddenly feel very dizzy and everything is gone for a few seconds. Any advice would be helpful.
@A MyCOPDTeam Member Then maybe you would want to consult with another doctor or the doctor that is going to do the root canals. You will need anesthesia of some form to dull the pain. Anytime I go to have any kind of procedure done I speak with doctor and anesthesiologists and explain about my COPD and they always take appropriate measures to make sure I am OK.
I also have dizzy spells. It seems to happen the most in the mornings when I stop at the local QT (service station) for my soda on my way to work. It is so bad I have to hold on to things to navigate through the store. I checked my oxygen the other morning because it was more extreme than normal and it was at 71 when I got back to my car. I don't have (and can't get, long story) a portable unit. Thankfully, I only work part time (3 days a week). Still it can be very disconcerting when it happens. Breathe well...............
I get the same symptoms and seem to lose my hearing and see white circles in front of my eyes. My Dr. said it might be low oxygen or BP. He recommended sitting up on the side of the bed or kneeling on the floor until it passes
There's a web sight called Web MD.com an I've found a lot of answers on that web sight.
Yea,,,sometimes it seems like your never going to quit coughing... I hurry up and get on my bed and ride it out.... it'll pass..
