Caroll, 25% of the people who are diagnosed with COPD never smoked. That percentage is going up. Also, of the people who did or do smoke, only 25% are diagnosed with COPD. From those two figures, we know there are lots of other factors involved in developing COPD: it's not just a smoker's disease. Smoking sure didn't help the situation, but it's certainly not the ONLY factor.

I'm using a nebulizer. It's a chore to use it every day, but it has helped me not to cough as much, and is keeping the disease from getting worse, I think. Need to exercise more since I hear others think it helps a lot.

Yes it can but with other meds or Nebulizer It'll not get better but can be help to slow down.

I was fine until I had blood clots in my lungs after abdominal surgery. In a coma, near death experience, recovered, breathing lousy ever since, and getting worse. So look out for those blood clots.

Never knew that TY My Dr. has never said that I thought it was cause by smoking only. Glad I'm getting educated lol.
