Skin. I have changed brand names of cannula with no change. Any ideas as to reason or solution?

Someone on this board ( a guy, but I can't remember his name) suggested a different position for cannula placement when sleeping. I have tried it sometimes when my cannula bugs me at night and it does help. Kind of frees up your face. Rather than snugging up the cannula under your chin, you reposition it to come from behind your head straight to your nose, snugging it at the back of your head. Kind of like a head band. This was it touches less skin and more hair.

also, keep your cannula clean, and change it every 3 or 4 weeks.

Have you talked to oxygen supplier?

You might try washing it or covering the tubing with cloth or paper tape so if you are allergic to the tubing it will have a barrier between the tubing and skin.
