I have COPD, I'm 64 y/o and I have I guess normal aches and pains and stiffness in my joints and chronic lower back pain. I've been thinking about purchasing CBD oil and wonder if any of you use it. If so has it helped any with your shortness of breath? I've read a few testimonials saying that it has helped, I just wanted to check here.
It is an oil. You use an eye dropper and administer under the tongue. I"ll get you a link. I'm actually thinking about becoming a distributor. I'll let you know. I will be deciding in a day or two.
I tried the CBD oil for my arthritis. I think that regular doses of Tylenol work just as well. My husbands Respirologist did recommend the CBD. He explained the CBD caused the body to relax that made breathing much easier. My husband also has Statex for his breathing. It is a liquid morphine.
I use CBD oil every day. I now sleep better and breath so much better at night.
I was just at the American Thoracic Society's annual meeting in Dallas and tried to find someone who knows about the effects of CBD oil for COPD. No luck anywhere. I do have a possible source of good information and am hoping to get solid information soon. From sources that I haven't confirmed are reputable, I have been told that while CDB oil will help with aches and pains, it won't do anything for breathing.
What these questionable sources, what does make a difference is FECA oil which is much harder to find and is often a black-market part of the oil industry. The problem is that there's a specific refinement process necessary to get pure FECA oil and often what you can find doesn't come from a reputable place. So be very careful if you choose to try that out.
