Early last year I strung mine on our yard fence while the temps were in the 80s. Left it out for about 1 week. When I brought it in I stored it in large padded loops briefly until I needed it. Worked great all winter. But later in the summer I strung another one and the temps went up to the low 100s. And we had wildfire smoke so I couldn't go out and bring it in for maybe a little over a week. Again stored it in large loops. However now using it it still "winds" itself around itself… read more
I read recently to put it in a warm dryer wrapped in a towel for about 10 minutes then stretch it out till it cools. Did this last time and it worked wonderfully. I also used to wind it up in a circle as I needed to go upstairs, now I wind it back and forth across my hand in a large loop, seems to help keep it straighter. Now as I come up on the date to change the 50 foot tubing it is all curly (drives me nuts) LOL but the oxygen tech who came out a few weeks ago said it was in the best shape of any he had seen.

The tangle resistant tubing is called American Bantex and is made by Roscoe Medical. I got it on Amazon here is a link.

It is time for a new one if it is coiling again , it will soon start leaking. If you have mastered the dryer method repeat what has worked for you , I have 6 green lines that I will never use because I found some that I do not need to melt as I tried but failed with the dryer method.
I used the dryer method and overcooked one , then I bought 20 of the tangle free ones and like it a lot more.
Here are some instructions for the dryer
Take the tubing out of the plastic bag and put it in a mesh laundry bag (the kind you use to wash delicate items in your washer).
Put the bag and 3-4 towels in your dryer, and set the heat at low.
Run the dryer for 10 minutes and take out the laundry bag.
Remove the tubing from the bag. It will be a little warm.
Take the tubing and stretch it out. You can do this with another person or by yourself. Make sure you don’t let either end touch the floor, to avoid germs.
