hi Jean. Has been a while since I have spoken to you. I believe we can take that as a good sign as does it not mean that things are going okay?
I came in today to take on the subject of o2 and copd but since my page opened to this question on CBD oil, I thought I'd add my input to this question. I have been using here and there with the CBD. I don't know that the CBD oil has helped with the COPD in the sense of lowering the inflammation of the lungs, but the other organs do show considerable improvement. I suffer from a lot of pain. I honestly don't know which disease I take name to that causes me so much pain. for those that don't know me- my original diagnosis way back when was lupus. I have had clean blood work on that front for years but do show other signs of lupus but doesn't a million other diseases as well. I also have osteoarthritis and peripheral neuropathy and just had shoulder surgery in March. I find myself swollen down to the gums of my teeth. my pain is so intense some days I sound like an old moose moaning around here.
Bringing down my other swelling has been helpful some with the pain. The only thing I take for pain is a fentanyl patch-once every 2 days.
I will definitely be looking into this new mix that you speak of Jean. I have had a few....strange feelings from the CBD? BUT overall as a patient I am not willing to give up the lessen in swelling elsewhere. Right now I am ready to give it a thumbs up until something else changes. It does help with pain and swelling and relieves some SOB I believe BUT NOT enough to not have oxygen at my disposal. My health situation has worsened over the years and I find myself slowing down which I hate. I have had only the one dr I have stayed with over the years who says oxygen wont help me but having 30% lungs doesn't say that to me. am in search of another drs opinion if someone would help me make that decision.
sorry if I made this too long and veered off topic so now I will go find the 02 question and look there for an answer on 02. please reach out to me if you think you can speak for my situations. or just to say hi
peace to all

Inflammation in the lungs causes mucous, not the other way around.

My understanding of CBD oil is that it does not work for people with COPD. What apparently does work is FECA oil, which is a different distillation of the marijuana plant. You need to be very careful to be sure you get properly prepared FECA oil; much that is sold is not properly prepared and can be dangerous.

Deb,
Sounds like you need lots of advice. Yes, I think it would be a good idea to see another doctor.
Sorry I can't give you any advice but sending you love may be a start.

I think mucus in the lungs can cause inflammation so I use the Himalayan salt inhaler and it clears my lungs I don't know how long it will keep working so far so good.
