Still Smoking
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

Is there anyone here that still smokes after being diagnosed. I am looking for some support to quit. I have attempted it several times since my diagnoses and have failed terribly. The patches, gum, vape pens and even cold turkey (which I wouldn't recommend)! The Doctor won't put me on Chantix because I suffer from Severe Major Depression and the side effects wouldn't be good for me!!! Two weeks ago I had an exacerbation and the E.R doctor ordered chest x-ray.s He came back after reading them… read more

3 Day Trip To See Santa In Lapland.
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

My daughter has asked if I’d like to go on a 3 day trip to see Santa In Lapland. I have moderate Copd which is sometimes worsened by the cold, however it’s a ‘dry’ type of cold and I wondered if anyone had any experience/advice to share? The temperature averages -15, thermals are provided but as the inspired air will be very cold am I just asking for trouble by going? X

Invest in Bambillo bedding. Bamboo cotton sheets, pillowcases, and a Bambillo undersheet topper, or a merino wool undersheet topper with electric blanket. They're very good investments!

Advice Wanted
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

It’s not actually me that has copd. It’s my 76 year old father. I joined this website for him as he is not very good with technology. I’m very heartbroken to see him struggling and I’m so much pain. The copd is progressing very quickly- a lot quicker than I expected... we are talking a COMPLETE change from November of last year. He is now on oxygen full time, (wasn’t on it at all prior) he can’t barely feed himself without having major breathing issues, his days of walking are long gone, can’t… read more
