Spiriva and Tudorza are both muscarinics and don't contain steroids. That said, there may be something in the powder the medicine is attached to that you may be allergic to. Check with the pharmacist to see if there's a difference between the two meds that might account for the allergic reaction.

@A MyCOPDTeam Member I am no medical professional , but have had similar problems when i use steroid inhalers so i take extra pro-biotics and it seems to make a huge difference after a few days . Maybe someone like @A MyCOPDTeam Member could weigh in on this ? Jean forgot more than i know about this disease so i often ask her thoughts .

Hi @A MyCOPDTeam Member. If your doctor prescribes it and your pharmacy sends them the request for non-covered meds, then the doc office fills out paperwork and faxes to your insurance company then your prescribed medication will be approved thru the end of that year! Your doc office should have the knowledge as to how to fill out the paperwork for that med to be approved! Talk to your physician and then have them re-prescribe for you! It can be up to a 2 week process but with that being said β€œAny Prescribed Medication Can Be Approved So Your Insurance Will Pay For It!”
