Woke up this morning and blood pressure was highter than its ever been. 210-115. Was considering calling ambulence but prayed through it. Anyone ever experience anything like that?
Hi Donald. I don't check my BP daily (but probably should). Instead I let the Fitbit watch do all the heavy lifting for me. It measures Heartrate throughout the day. I get a pulsation on my wrist when I'm in the 'Zone' (100+ beats per minute). When I'm a bit off, it's usually due to O2 dropping and breathing exercises need come into play. But every Body is different, indeed. Stay safe and be Well.
Please check in with your doctor
Pulmonary Hypertension secondary to COPD is not the same as having high blood pressure. PH secondary to COPD is high blood pressure in the lungs and can be definitively diagnosed by an echocardiogram followed by right heart catheterization. So just because your BP is high doesn't mean you have PH secondary to COPD; it simply means that your BP is high. That said, if you continue to have high BP in the morning and that's unusual, you should let your doc know.
I Use Rechargeable Batteries with a charger that cost $5.99 and the batteries cost around $4.00 to $6.00 You can get one at Walmart or Harbor Fright and it has saved me plenty of money after buying batteries over and over since I brought my charger I haven't bought any batteries in a year. Great valve and money savings
Mine has, in the past, been almost consistently that high. In fact now that it is mostly down to where it should be, I haven't had any energy at all. I can accomplish much more when I have High BP, but I DO NOT RECOMMEND leaving it at that number Yes, by all means consult your doctor. I have to check my bp 3 times a day and send a report to my doc every month. You might want to invest in a blood pressure cuff of your own. They are I think about $$60.00 for a good one. However this last one I bought I just got the store brand and it seems to be working just as well for half the price. You will need to stock up on batteries too; it takes 4 AA batteries. Good luck to you @A MyCOPDTeam Member
