I have not had LVRS, but here is a link that will give you invaluable information regarding the surgery and the results of the many clinical trials that were done.

You'll learn a lot about the surgery, who it works for and what some of the problems were then and now. For further information, find a center that performs that surgery and ask to be evaluated for it. That will give you a chance to learn a lot about your particular situation and whether or not you are a good candidate.

@A MyCOPDTeam Member - I had a bullectomy and pleurectomy on one lung. Then the next year a resection on the other one.

@A MyCOPDTeam Member - I guess I’ve made a mistake about LVRS. Maybe the website that Jean directed you to would be more factual/helpful. I’ve had two lung surgeries, but I really don’t know what to say. I’m sorry.
