Many people use a Non-Invasive Ventilating Device, which is the description for what the Trilogy does. There are a number of them besides the Trilogy that can be used. Basically, they provide two-way breathing assistance and help in reducing C02 for people who retain C02. Reducing C02 is critical in people with COPD; too much C02 can cause confusion, fuzzy vision, loss of consciousness and lead to brain damage.

Have used one for 4 years. Was put on it in a Pulmonary Re-Hab. Use it over night. Sometimes is annoying, but gives me relief.

As a Respiratory Therapist, Trilogys are somewhat difficult to use in the clinical settings. Find a Trilogy specialist. If they don't have one from your homecare company find another one
