I am going through tests to decide whether I will have the Zephr Valve procedure. Has anyone had it? Good results? Bad results?
Yes still 24/7 but down to 1 litre from 2 litres which may sound rubbish but it's better than I was
Aah now you askI didn't ask too many questions re tests as was quite a few All I know is my lung capacity was less than 20 time percent at the time .Not had it checked since possibly as covid outbreak started 3 months after my op.
JI had been checking I can blow 2 balls up every day on a lung exerciser something I was unable to do before
I saw surgeon this year and said if I can get rid of my lung infection will do that lung with valves later in year .Then replace others when feel not working anymore .All depends on micro infection treating at moment
Ive got 3 Had mine done 2019 Had just come through Trials in the UK.Still 24 hour oxygen but bit less needed than before Don't need my wheelchair for short distances anymore .Can attend 2 pulmonary exercise classes a week.I was stage 4 so breathless even when sat relaxing but not a problem now .Who knows how long will last but can be replaced. My surgeon said if thinking a cure then not for you But if you want to improve your mobility and breathlessness then it is for you. They say its like having an lvrs but without cutting you open
That is great. I am at 2.
Sounds really positive. Do you use Oxegon?
