It sounds like you're concerned about surgery, anesthesia, and all the unknowns. Since I was diagnosed with COPD, I've had a kidney stone blasted, a kidney biopsy, and a lumpectomy. I had general anesthesia for all of them. In each case I talked with both the surgeon and the anesthesiologist about my COPD and need for close watching for 02. I came through all of them with no difficulty at all; sore throat from being intubated. All these procedures were outpatient.

Done! I’m almost 2 months out now, and all is well… no cancer, no thyroid, no problem… just take one little very cheap pill everyday until…😇

I have NHL so I carry Cancer forever but it’s staying still at the moment got lump on neck had CT scan it is Benign I’m doing ok I have learnt let’s just do best we can I do trust my Nurses Healthcare staff & Oncologists I have a New Dr that’s been good last one was not really up to scratch 5 cancer lumps called Cyst I went to oncology I had chemo 6 weeks later for 6 months yes left with few problems but nothing that will be worst than my Lymph gland’s squeezing my lungs on top of my Bad lungs I already had , but now I can breath I’m just tiered chronic fatigue.Have a Good Easter all 2024.
