If you have to be out, and your weather doesn't hit Rolland's specifications, use your 02 and try to get inside as quickly as possible. Depending on where you're going, you may want a sweater to keep from getting too cold. Being out for a little bit isn't going to hurt; it'll be uncomfortable, but not dangerous, assuming that you're not developing an exacerbation. If you're not feeling really well, don't go, unless it's to a doctor's appointment, and even then I wouldn't go unless you had some procedure scheduled or it's an appointment that would be really hard to reschedule. Use your common sense and you should be fine.
Watch the News! NO, Really!
IF you can find a good weather channel which reports Barometric pressure π¨ for your area you may find it tolerable to venture outside even if the temps and humidity seem to disagree.
For me, the magic number is about 125. That's about 75Β°F hot added to some 50% humidity. Some people would call it 80Β° with the Heat index. Doesn't matter as long as the pressure is rising. Look for a big, blue H on the weather report. If the pressure is dropping, that means I'm not exhaling hard enough. Now, all bets are off for being outdoors until these line up again. Give it a try! ππ
Stay home in the A/C.........
Wish I could help. Humidity just kills me. Wind is not bad, even rain but with that comes humidity. It is a killer for us folks with COPD.
