You might try doing some pursed lip breathing before you get out of bed....that might help getting up easier.

Asked the rehab guy about it and he suggested coughing a couple times upon awakening, then use quick acting inhaler, do some intentional breathing, followed by my Anoro inhaler. He said mucus settles in lungs during the night and that is what causes the heaviness in my breathing in the morning. So, I will try that tomorrow. Thank you for responding; have a good day!

Yes I am the same need to use Oxygenator for 15 hours a day and overnight and I seem to have problems getting started in mornings I’ve taken to use nebuliser in morning as well just take time and relax also try breathing through the nose helps a little bit

Jo5; I'm not a Des Moines native and only moved here in retirement, actually to a retirement community in W. Des Moines, so I don't know Des Moines as well as if I'd lived here a long time. I don't know the halfway house, but I do recognize the importance of a Governor's appointment to a state board and homeless youth always need people! You've had a long history of community service in Des Moines....congratulations!
