Stress, anxiety and humidity are the worst things to have when you have COPD. So... you can't control the humidity...but... you can control the anxiety & stress. Be aware of it and do pursed-lip breathing while thinking of something that pleases you. When you walk at home, think about something that you'd like to do and walk slowly and breathe properly. Try it , it sure works for me and you have nothing to lose at this point. Hugs
All I'm doing is letting people know what's available. If they can't take advantage of it, I'm sorry and wish they could. If they don't want to, I can't make them. As for on line options, here are some:

Alice Rose, what about on-line therapy options? Many people have found it to be very helpful and accessible.
Hello Wayne5, Welcome to the group.
Well I have to plan ahead and take my time getting ready to go. I have to payatention to may breathing to keep it calm and steady breaths. If you start to panic you start taking shorter breaths. Makes it harder to breath. A lot of learning to pay attention to how you're breathing almost all the time.
I also went to my primary Dr and got something for anxiety that also helps when I can't get it under control. Hope that helps. Breath ez.
And for the people who have COPD but no access to a psychiatrist or therapist?
