The trials showed that dupixent reduced exacerbations in COPD patients by 30%. Reducing the number of exacerbations would likely result in a reduction of the use of oral steroids, assuming that you met the criteria for being included in the study. If you're a frequent exacerbator, I'd definitely have a discussion with my pulmonologist regarding the potential use of dupixent. I am NOT a frequent exacerbator and I plan to bring it up at my next appointment, but I also fully expect to be told that it's not something I could benefit from.
