Does Anyone Have Any Suggestions For Anxiety?

I was on a low dosage of Xanax when I lived in Ohio and it really helped a lot and I only took it when things got really bad. Since I have moved to Georgia and have a new doctor he will not prescribe it and says that it is bad for me? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a pulmonologist? Have him talk to your GP and they should give you something for anxiety.
Breathing exercise help also. Concentrate on your breathing with deep breaths in and holding for few seconds and pursed lip release.

Benzodiazapines are very addictive Lee, unless taking them for 2 weeks is ok,not something you want to take long term.

Get your pulmonologist to talk to your GP and I bet you will get something. Still you should not be on Xanax for long periods of time. My Dr switches meds every year.
