What are symptoms that seemed different from just average upper respiratory infection? What were your treatments for it? 🤷🏻♀️
A "rescue pack" is usually a combination of prescriptions for an antibiotic and prednisone that you can have filled ahead of time and have on hand if you get ill, especially over a weekend and can't see your doc or are traveling and become ill.
Adding to my last post. I was in Hospital for entire month of December. Prednisone and antibiotic. Then 2 1/2 weeks at rehab center. Then 3 weeks home nurse and rehab. So for us. RSV is no joke. Stay safe and get checked if even think it is a Exberbation.
@A MyCOPDTeam Member Howdy, I just had my vaccine yesterday for that...I don't know the systems, but I have heard that if you get it , it can hospitalize a person ! So get that vaccine at least you can feel somewhat protected. And just like the flu shot ...it doesn't keep you from getting the flu, it just helps it not be as bad ! I hope this helps
Started not feeling good. Then trouble breathing. To ER. To hospital bed. Not remembering anything as completely out. Finally my Pulmonary Dr asked if they had checked for RSV. No they hadn’t. They thought I was going to die. My 3 girls, one called home from overseas didn’t know what to do. (So have it all outlined for them). My missionary daughter from overseas. Took my hand. I still can’t open eyes or come to. I said. I’m scared. Tina says but you know where you are going. Her hand releases but I see a white glove move back into a circle of white light. My eyes open and next day I am sitting up. So don’t be afraid

I have asked my doctors about this but no answer. Neither one will give me a prescription for either even when I call in or have a video call. I always have to make an appt. If I had these meds available, I probably wouldn't have had to call the ambulance and an ER visit.
