Hi JuneJackson thanks for your response much appreciated.
I sent the consultant that reduced my meds an email that was two weeks ago not heard nothing back yet. I know the respiratory team meets every Wednesday so hopefully it gets discussed there then I might get an answer otherwise my next appointment is for December.
I don’t think I suffer with panic attacks what I do suffer with is I like to be consulted if not then that really annoys me yes you could say that it can cause stress . Then I take action like ph calls, emails or a letter I would bring it up at my next appointment as well. In the past one of the Registrars did reduced my meds and insisted I used a combination inhaler which I told him it won’t work he did not agree with me yep I had an allergic reaction to it, So when I seen my consultant two weeks later and she could not understand why he insisted on changing my meds, her words were “If its not broken why try to fix it” she reinstated my meds.
It’s very annoying when it happens they reduced meds again my rescue pack is 6 steroids x 10days and antibiotics 2 x daily for 2 weeks again this has now been reduced down to 1 week by the same consultant when she reduced my nebuliser med.
I have done self management for years and I have never been hospitalised for asthma attack or a COPD exacerbation, I got diagnosed way back in 1993 I had already gone through all different inhalers spacers etc the then consultant put me on a nebuliser that works for me.
I was hospitalised this year February to March this was for a blood disorder not for asthma or COPD but whilst in hospital I got pneumonia that was the very first time I ever got that 😂
