It can be very bad if you have a bad reaction to smoke, as many of us do. Not everyone reacts badly to smoke, but it can be a trigger for some people and exposure to wood smoke can lead to exacerbations. If you're not sure how you react, you might try being around a fire to find out how if does affect you, but be prepared to leave quickly, if your reaction is a bad one. If you do have to be in a situation where wood is being burned, you will want to be sure that the area is well ventilated. Even then you may have a bad reaction.

Wood smoke is very irritating to me. I can't stay in a place that has a wood burning fire going - like Cracker Barrel restaurants. If they have that giant fireplace going I can't sit in there.

Laundry soap and perfumes for me are the bad things. I switched to the Earth Breeze sheets for laundry they don’t leave a smell. I try to avoid people with perfume seems like some people bathe in it…
