@A MyCOPDTeam Member, I googled that question and was bombarded with Hits. Evidently many meds cause anxiety/depression, some of which are: Stimulants (some used for ADHD and narcolepsy), Corticosteroids, Medicines with caffeine, decongestants, antihistamines, and thyroid medications. That was from just one site. You may want to check it out, then check with doctor or pharmacist. Pharmacists are good with these questions.
Absolutely, @A MyCOPDTeam Member. I refuse to take one medicine to treat the side effects of another medicine, so it’s up to you to work with your pulmonologist or respiratory therapist to determine if the slight breathing improvement is worth the aggravation.
If you don’t already follow a physical exercise program, as well as use biofeedback and deep breathing techniques to lessen your symptoms and see if you can reduce your reliance on the meds and their unfavorable irritations and side effects, now might be a good time to try that approach.
As always, *** NOT a doc, this is NOT MEDICAL ADVICE ***
Good luck. Sunday afternoon, 18-FEB-24
@A MyCOPDTeam Member - When a new medicine is recommended or prescribed, I do some research on it - The Mayo Clinic or the Cleveland Clinic. WebMD can be slightly wrong at times. And I've decided a time or two to decline the med. The regular ones I take for copd, Dulera and Spiriva, aren't right for everyone. And I use the generic for Valium for my anxiety. Works for me - but as @A MyCOPDTeam Member said ***NOT MEDICAL ADVICE*** Hope you're doing ok!!
Hi Wally I personally don’t feel like that could I’d be your on the wrong meds I hope this may be of some help
Take care
Eric
The puffer gives me a bit of the shakes and one natural herb for copd made me really depressed very fast . I threw it out right away . But most make me tired
