I would suggest that you talk with a psychiatrist or a clinical psychologist who knows you to find a proper medication and then monitor it appropriately to be sure it's working properly. PCPs are not always properly trained to monitor them.

@A MyCOPDTeam Member - I've used diazapam (generic for Valium), 2 mg, cut in half, 2 -3 times/day, for many years. While for many it can cause depression or anxiety but for me it's the opposite. Recently I tried cbd, 20 mg and it does help me. I do agree about talking with your pcp or getting a referral from him. I wish you luck!

There are a lot of different medications for depression......talk to you doctor who would be the best one to give you the proper meds. I'm on a medication for depression but there are so many out there
