Who's doing it and what are they doing? What clinical results have they had? We have a number of studies going on here, but they are generally at the cellular level.

It has nothing to do with rules or laws and no one is against using stem cells in he lungs. There is research going on at the cellular level, but they haven't managed to get beyond that. Part of the problem is there are so many different kinds of cells involved in the lungs, so we are a long ways from knowing how to use various stem cells in the lungs. I think most of the researchers think that stem cells will help provide a solution to lung disease; we just aren't there yet.
