I'd Like To Know What Inhaler People Use The Most. My Doctor Prescribed Treligy And It Was Good, But I Can't Afford The Copay.
Hi Linda. I hear the bad news! 🥴The good news is Medicare enrollment starts later this month. OCTOBER anyway. We ALL get a chance to review med costs and other benefits because there are a lot of changes happening for next year.
Work with your Pharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM) to figure out if using the Nebulizer versions of our medicines may be cheaper than Trelogy. That would be Albuterol, Ipratropium and Budesonide.
Your DOC may have a few sample packs to give you until this is all sorted. Breztri may be another option. There are discount programs with the Big Pharma companies, but you have to have "regular" health insurance to qualify.
I can't preach about saving a few more bucks here and there because everything is so expensive these days. BUT in the end, IF you have found something that works - You will find a Way. Besides, YOU are worth it.
be Well
I have used just about every brand name Copd medication with mixed results. The one thing I always felt was that a very small amount of medication was actually entering my lungs (as in getting stuck in my throat). I am now taking all of my COPD medications with my nebulizer and feel as if I'm benefiting from it. I don't know what the price difference is.
My medications are in my profile.
