Jeff yes the oxygen helps. Do you have a oxygen meter that you can clip on your finger? Talk to your doctor and ask them what when you're oxygen level reads a specific number 90 or 88. Then you should be on oxygen and you will benefit from it. Sometimes you'll have a home unit sometimes you'll have a portable you can carry with you that are oxygen concentrators. Or you could have an oxygen tank. All depends on what you can afford. Sounds like you knew on the journey relax. Take deep breaths. Have you read about breathing techniques yet? Do a search for that. There's lots of good info out there.
@A MyCOPDTeam Member I thought you got a pretty good answer from AI--Very thorough in it's explanation. Maybe someone who IS on oxygen can tell you anything else you need to know, but give people TIME. Not everyone is on their computer or phone at the same time, so be patient.
It sounds like you're asking about an oxygen concentrator! Many people with COPD use them, and they're a popular choice for both home and on-the-go use.
An oxygen concentrator works by pulling in regular room air and filtering it down to deliver air that is 90–95% pure oxygen — compared to the roughly 20% oxygen found in Show Full Answer

Can someone answer me?
