Is the Respimat Speriva newer than The Handi haler. Which does more members like.
The handihaler is a dry powder med, the respimat is a mist. Generally the mist is much easier to take and give the same inhalation effort, probably gets farther into the lungs.
i recently had my Spiriva handihaler ( the one with the capsules of dry powder) updated to Spiriva Respimat-the new inhaler that gives a few seconds of continuous fine spray-i have had an exacerbation lately (about 4 weeks ago) and still am continuously coughing and struggling to bring up the mucus and breath freely-i think my doctor feels this new form will help me more now that my COPD seems to have worsened - i have only been using it for 2 days now-does anyone else have experience using Spir⦠read more
Ask your doctor. The Advair is a twice daily med. But the other I believe is helpful when you can't breathe well.
Anyone else having issues with gag reflex problems while trying to take the maintenance inhalers? All of them are powder, so I do use a spacer which helps a bit, but still end up dry heaving or vomiting right after taking a dose. I have tried Breo, Dulera, and Combivent Respimat and all three so far have made me gag

i can't afford the combivenfor now it is over 300.00 dollars for the inhaler
@A MyCOPDTeam Member, I intend to refill my prescription tomorrow. I will get back to you if what you say is accurate unless you looked at a different one than I use in Canada.
I have been using this for about 9 months...It doesn't seem to work well. Anyone else?
some inhalers you or I should say I cannot use because of other ailments I have.
My insurance won't pay, and it's 375.00 out of my pocket.
Some have said it is cheaper in Canada and you can order it from there.
