OK I know I am suppose to be on oxygen 24/7. I do not have a portable oxygen unit (long story) and I am still working part time 3 days a week. When I go into a convenience store on my way to work I often feel VERY dizzy. Almost to the point of passing out. Well I did check my O2 during one of these bouts and yep it was in the 70's. When I go from my car to my desk or my car to my home (I do have maybe 10 steps to climb) I get down in the 70's also. My question is at what level does it become… read more
I am trying to get an oxygen concentrator, mostly for flying . But don't know if I am picking correct one? Can you look at this and give me your thoughts? Thank you so much
Here I go again with another question!!! The last time I had test done, fev1 was 17%. The respiratory therapist said she would have never believed it for I am still working full time job (desk job), still exercise at gym, try to eat good, but do get short of breath badly. I only use oxygen at night. Those of you that have low fev1 such as this, what does your doctor say? When I got this result, I went home and cried and cried. Any more suggestions on what to do? So, getting my mother to take all her inhalers is a monumental task cause she is always forgetful. Also, one of them (@advair or semicort) tend to cause infections in her... so, its hard.. so, I wanted to supplement her one inhaler (@spiriva), in addition to a lot of various vitamins etc..., with an eucalypsus oil vaporizer. I read about it, and seems to help. Is this something I should get?
Taking no medication that may cause. Pulse ox numbers good Thoughts greatly appreciated
I am already in the donut hole. Have you found any discounts for it.
I am 72 year old who's always feeling very tired physically and mentally due to COPD. Formerly simple tasks now seem like big deals practically beyond my abilities. Feeling fatigued and yucky, I nap a lot. My sister, who uses Prozac, often tells me that I should get it or another ant-depressant prescribed, but I have been resistant because I can't imagine how such pills can address the underlying issue, which is inadequate oxygenation due to… read more
